It is the mission of the First Christian Church Children's Ministry to help the children of our community to Know, Love, Follow and Serve Jesus.
Nursery is provided for all services on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.
Sunday School classes (Nursery through Young Adults) use the FaithWeaver NOW literature. FaithWeaver NOW is a quarterly, age-graded curriculum for infants through adults. The three-year scope & sequence covers the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. Each quarter goes through 13 sequential Bible events so families get a snapshot of the Bible timeline. Sunday school meets at 10:00 a.m. (Juice and donuts at 9:30)
JAM (Jesus And ME) for grades Pre-K through 5th grade meets every Wednesday evening. We begin the night with a fellowship meal at 6:00 P.M. A donation of $3 each is requested but NOT required. Then the children enjoy an exciting and interactive lesson followed by several rotations. The lesson and basic Bible skills are taught/reinforced with activities such as a Memory Verse station, a craft or game station, Sword Drill station and more. We are currently studying the books of the Bible.
Spark is our youth group for grades 6-12 It is their mission to be that "spark"in our community lighting the way for others to see the love of God. They meet each Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. after the FEAST meal at 6:00. Our minister, Ron Marks and Jessica Caldwell, along with several other adults lead the teens in a lesson, fun activities, and work on special projects and presentations.
